The Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel 5311RF Generator is a popular choice for those in need of a reliable backup power source. This generator runs on both propane and natural gas, providing flexibility in fuel options. Here are some pros and cons to consider before making a purchase.

Pros:

1. Dual Fuel Capability: The generator can run on propane or natural gas, making it a versatile option for different fuel sources.

2. Power Output: It produces 3500 watts of continuous power and 4500 watts of surge power, which is sufficient for powering essential appliances and tools during an outage.

3. Transfer Switch Ready: The generator comes with a transfer switch, allowing you to easily connect it to your home's electrical system and power appliances directly.

4. Easy Start: The generator features an electric start, as well as a pull-cord backup, making it convenient to use.

5. Quiet Operation: With a noise level of 68 dBA at 25% load, it operates relatively quietly compared to other generators in its class.

6. Portability: It has wheels and a folding handle, making it easy to move around.

Cons:

1. Fuel Tank Size: The generator comes with a small 6-gallon propane tank, which may not last long if you need to power multiple appliances at once.

2. Weight: Weighing 130 pounds, it is heavier than some other portable generators, making it more difficult to transport.

3. Price: The Westinghouse 5311RF is more expensive than some other portable generators with similar power output, due to its dual fuel capability and additional features.

In conclusion, the Westinghouse iGen4500DF Dual Fuel 5311RF Generator offers several advantages, such as the ability to run on propane or natural gas, powerful output, transfer switch readiness, easy start, quiet operation, and portability. However, its cons include a small fuel tank size, higher weight, and a higher price point compared to some other portable generators.

If you require a reliable backup power source and value the flexibility of dual fuel capability, the Westinghouse 5311RF may be a worthwhile investment. However, if you're on a tight budget or don't need the dual fuel feature, there are other portable generators with similar power output and lower prices available in the market.
