It will not power an entire house as normal - on 6200 watts . It reliably powered my 5,000 sq ft homes light, water supply, and refrigeration for as long I needed it. Manually, it starts on the first pull, although has an electric starter also, which works if battery is kept charged. But I could comfortably run my entire home as long shut off hvac and electric water heater, did not clothes dryer.
I can only estimate the ours used, but bought it new and know was not used much - maybe 75 hours, that includes 2 times when had to run more than 24 hours because of a power outage.
